SLUM Lab 4: São Paulo Architecture Experiment

The fourth issue of SLUM Lab explores the creation of bridges, connectors, and overlaps as opportunities for a new generative architecture, which focuses on catalytic site interventions that unify the fragmented urban fabric of developing world megacities. Produced as a free newspaper to coincide with and document the Spring 2010 Columbia University GSAPP design studio that took place in São Paulo, Brazil, the publication includes contributions from Andreas Rudolph, Ligia Nobre, Kazuo Nakano, Pedro Rivera, Denise Hoffman-Brandt, Eric Rothstein, Marcos Rosa, Maria Paola Sutto, Jorge Mario Jáuregui, and Teddy Cruz, as well as a selection of student work.
