SLUM Lab 5: Amman Rusaifah

The fifth issue of SLUM Lab is dedicated to research, mapping, infrastructural analysis, participatory planning, stakeholder outreach, and integrated design of youth facilities in a dense, low-income edge city east of Amman, Jordan. Produced as a free newspaper to coincide with and document the Spring 2010 Columbia University GSAPP design studio that took place in Amman and Rusaifah in collaboration with Columbia University’s Middle East Research Center and the Amman Institute for Urban Development, the publication includes contributions from Lucas Oesch and Sandra Hiari, as well as a selection of student work.
